This is a brief section to give you a little insight into car audio competitions and the role that Majestic Music can play to assist you.

The benefits of competing are numerous, but here are a few. You meet people who share the same interest / hobby as you do. It's fun and challenging at the same time. It allows you to learn more and better your vehicle for the next show. It is less expensive then ¼ mile racing and safer. Not to mention the bragging rights that you get.

Below is a short clip from Tech-TV that was filmed at Jays Alarm & Car Audio's dB Drag on Aug. 16 th , 2003. It may help give you a glipse at what dB Drag Racing is all about.

The staff at Majestic Music are seasoned competitors so we know what it takes to win. A glance at the trophies throughout our showroom will testify to that. We encourage everyone who is serious about their sound systems to compete once or at least attend an upcoming show to see what it is all about. Primarily we compete in the dB Drags.

Here's what we do for you. We have the same mic and software system that is used by the sanctioning organizations. So before you compete “blind”, we can assist you in measuring your SPL as well as tweaking and tuning your system to help you achieve your maximum output. Being that it is the same measurement system, you will have the advantage of knowing what you are going to “hit” at the show and what your system is capable of. Besides a minimal fee for the mic time, we don't charge extra to help you tweak, tune, and setup your system. We normally have all of our current customers that compete come by the shop a day or two prior to the show for last minute tweaking. We also take the time with people wishing to compete for the first time going over the different classes, rules, which class they would be in and how is all works. Normally we also give them a short tutorial on how to compete and get the most out of your system. We normally all meet up the morning of the show and head there together – caravan style. Which is great for those time when someone has unexpected car troubles. Customers competing and new competitors alike usually get welcomed to join us. At the show we give further support to those that we are assisting. Of course there's the moral support. If we know they are coming we try to save them a parking spot by our vehicle so they can enjoy the shade of our tent. We normally also have a battery charger or two that we share with them to give their systems a fully charged battery before their next “run”. Stop by the shop and speak with on of the staff members to be a part of it.

In the menu to the left, under the “Competition Organizations” heading, you will see 6 different organizations. To find out more about any of them, click on a link and browse their websites. Basically the “Big 3” of the sanctioning bodies is dB Drag Racing, IASCA, and USACi. Each organization has different rules and classes. So based on your lifestyle and how you vehicle is setup, it would be in your best interest to see which one you would fit best within. The goal of and event is to have FUN.
