Hahaha, seems like we're always fixing other shops work! This sticker was later removed by the customer.
-
The old Box housing (4) Audiobahn AW1251X 12" subwoofers
-
Ports and amp rack
-
Front view of the amp rack. An Audiobahn A1300HCX amp runs the subs and an Autotek amp runs the highs. We are not rebuilding the amp rack. We are only building a new enclosure for the subs.
-
-
Removed all the old gear and box.
-
The new design requires using the spare tirewell to get the amount of airspace needed for the subwoofers.
-
Aaron holding the fiberglass plug of the tirewell. Not building a plug, and just glassing down into the tirewell, would have yielded the box unremovable.
-
Trimming away excess mat around the edges
-
Mocking up the layout of the subs and port.
-
-
Has been wrapped and glassed. More glass will be added and it will then be prepared for paint.

Once the deadline for this project got cut in half, due to a dB Drag that the customer REALLY wanted to be able to take the car to, it became an all hands evolution. Here is Karen doing some of the sanding on the port.
-
Matt & Jack playing with the build up primer.

-
Final test fit
-
-
-
Jack lays down the primer
-
Then the paint. We went with Ford White to match the exterior.
-
-
Jack's happy with his paint work
-
Aaron is happy with his design
-
Anyone around this project remembers the deadline change and Aaron working 24/7 to get this done in time. On the final day, hours before the show, Aaron is able to get another 30 minutes of sleep. Bringing his sleep total up to about 4.5 hrs over the last 5-6 days.

-
Matt on his new Harley coming by to check on the car.
-
Enclosure is done. Customer is going to do the side trim pieces at a later date.
-
Like most things, pictures really do not do it justice. Try to see all of the curves that are a part of this enclosure.

Oh yeah, at the dB Drag, I think he took 1st in his class that day and beat Jack. Don't recal what he hit though.
