Concept was to remove everything that was previously installed and start from scratch. Build an incredible sound system and utilize the Hurricane theme already being employed within the vehicle. The car later became dubbed "The Hurricane".
Installation
This vehicle has gone through many changes in the time we've known it. Majestic Music started by removing everything that had been previously installed. With a now blank canvas, they were able to start over from scratch. The vehicle received a complete new system design. There are SO many things that we've done to this vehicle that we recommend you look at the Behind the Scenes portion to really see everything. Be prepared though as there are 131 pictures complete with commentary.
The Intrepid began with a Sony receiver & CD changer combo. That got upgraded to a Clarion Pro Audio touch screen and changer combo. A Panasonic 7" touch screen w/ an 8-disc changer was the last to go in.
We built a custom cold air intake, cleaned & detailed the engine compartment. A custom ported enclosure was fabricated for (2) 10" woofers. A custom amp rack was built into the spare tire well. Accent lighting was used throughout the vehicle. Custom door panels were built to house a 3-way speaker system. The rear lights were customized and the whole car was re-upholstered in black carpet. For safety purposes a backup camera was installed.
